Who we are
ChangeFusion Nepal was founded in September 2008 to help local youth direct their vision and skills towards benefiting people and the planet through social entrepreneurship. We support those young Nepalese with the most innovative ideas to solve social and environmental problems using four components: Mentorship, Knowledge, Funding and Networking.

Why Nepal?
Nepal has recently emerged from a decade-long civil war which has led to political instability and lack of opportunities. This has resulted in many youth feeling frustrated, disconnected and hopeless. The youth in Nepal constitute 26.5 percent of the total population (35 million). The youth literacy rate is about 70%. Around 12% youth remain unemployed.

In recent years, there has been a rise in Nepalese youth migrating to other countries in search of employment opportunities. While wealthy families can afford to send their children abroad, the majority of Nepalese struggle with very limited education and employment. The emotional distress to which these young Nepalese are exposed ultimately opens the door for drug abuse and other destructive behavior. Although Nepal is experiencing improvements in its political and development landscape, youth development projects focus mainly on Kathmandu, while youths in rural areas are still left without opportunities.

Why is this so important?         
There are many bright Nepalese youth with the vision and passion to make a difference but they have neither the money nor knowledge to implement their ideas successfully. ChangeFusion Nepal provides such youth with opportunities so that their ideas turn into sustainable ventures.
Young social entrepreneurs who are equipped with innovative ideas, commitment and a vision for social change are often left to run their ventures with little support. As a result, most of them choose to abandon their ventures after a short stint and end up returning to conventional career paths. There are currently only a handful of programs that support young social entrepreneurs. We believe that developing support networks through social entrepreneurs gives hope to the youth who will ultimately determine the future of Nepal.

What we do
The opportunity to engage the youth towards positive social change is one that cannot be wasted. We aspire to steer the creative and constructive energy of Nepalese youth towards ventures that support their societies.

ChangeFusion Nepal empowers young social entrepreneurs in Nepal by providing assistance in four key areas: Knowledge, Network, Mentorship and Financing.

KNOWLEDGE – Develop, adapt and disseminate knowledge and tools that are required by young social entrepreneurs.    
NETWORK – Connect Nepalese young social entrepreneurs with investors, mentors, other social entrepreneurs and interested stakeholders.
MENTORSHIP – Structure a mentorship program associated with the seed grants to assist entrepreneurs with their business development.   
FINANCING – Find donors or investors to provide seed grants to young social entrepreneurs who meet the selection criteria.
